Ohio Man Who Pretended to Be a Prince And Prophet From Ghana Sentenced to 20 Years In Prison

A Dayton man who conned investors by posing as a prince from Ghana was given the maximum 20-year jail term on Wednesday.

Additionally, Daryl Harrison impersonated a CEO and a prophet in order to defraud 14 individuals of about $800,000.

Harrison asserted to be a pastor for Power House of Prayer Ministries, an organization that the Department of Justice (DOJ) claims provided funding for religious services held in a number of churches and private homes in Ohio and Colorado.

According to investigators, he preyed on churchgoers. According to the DOJ, Harrison misled his investors by claiming to be a Ghanaian prince with ties to mining and trucking firms in the continent.

According to the DOJ, he informed investors that they could anticipate a return of up to 33% on their assets in those businesses. Harrison’s wife and he first met in a Cincinnati chapel. She was actually the one who helped bring the case against him.
