“Issakaba!!! The Myth returns. A river does not flow through a forest without bringing down trees. Men with evil minds lurk in the dark. But….. Justice is mine,” shared Sam Dede in the post.

The original director, Lancelot Imasuen, is also returning to oversee the new project, indicating a promising revival of the classic storyline.

Earlier this month, Imasuen promoted the second round of auditions for the series in Asaba, Delta, showcasing active progress in the production of the highly anticipated project.

“Issakaba” takes its name from an anagram of Bakassi, inspired by the real-life Bakassi Boys, a grassroots vigilante group formed in 1998 to combat crime in Nigeria’s South-East region.

The film follows Ebube and the Issakaba boys as they tackle armed robbery in their village using mystical charms and innovative tactics for swift justice.

While production is ongoing, the release date for the “Issakaba” TV series is yet to be announced.

Fans of the classic can look forward to the continuation of the captivating Issakaba saga in the form of a television series.
