He first attended Kenyatta Primary before switching to Nakuru East Primary, where he took the KCPE exams. He then began his secondary schooling at Nakuru Day. He afterwards enrolled in a diploma program in electrical engineering at Kisumu Polytechnic. Then, after two years, he left, stating that he had never been interested in the course.

Before breaking into the comedy business, Prof. Hamo went to a number of auditions. Interestingly, he is currently regarded as one of the top comedians on NTV’s Churchill Show. He is the fifth child of an eight-person family. Due to the fact that their father was an army officer, Hamo and his siblings were reared on the Lanet military installation.
