Before breaking into the comedy business, Prof. Hamo went to a number of auditions. Interestingly, he is currently regarded as one of the top comedians on NTV’s Churchill Show. Prof. Hamo was born in Nakuru, Kenya, on July 5, 1980, to the late James Wachira and his mother (whose name is unknown). He is the fifth child of an eight-person family. Due to the fact that their father was an army officer, Hamo and his siblings were reared on the Lanet military installation. The date of Professor Hamo’s birth is July 5, 1980.

Hamo is the fifth child out of eight siblings in his family. His mother worked as a housewife, while his father served in the military. He revealed that none of his siblings is famous in one of the interviews. James Wachira, Professor Hamo’s father, tragically passed away from a heart attack on October 5, 2016.

Herman Gakobo Kago first attended Kenyatta Primary before switching to Nakuru East Primary, where he took the KCPE exams. He then began his secondary schooling at Nakuru Day. He afterwards enrolled in a diploma program in electrical engineering at Kisumu Polytechnic. Then, after two years, he left, stating that he had never been interested in the course.

He attended Nakuru Theatre and joined the Tamasha band as a vocalist after leaving college. Additionally, he joined theatre companies to perform high school play scripts, which helped launch his comedic career.

After finding that the Churchill Show was holding auditions, he went to Nairobi the following day to give it a shot. Unfortunately, things didn’t turn out as expected since the judges dragged him off the platform.

He returned to Nakuru and continued to attend additional auditions without giving up hope. Hamo claimed during one of the interviews that he had to go to six auditions before he was given the opportunity to sing on Churchill on the Road Nakuru Edition. Following the viral success of the YouTube post of his show, he later experienced a breakthrough.

The stand-up comedian tries to keep his family private from the public, unlike other famous people. On any social media platform, he has never shared pictures of his wife or kids. He did, however, once claim to be happily married to a single, attractive lady, and the two of them have three children.
