Safo Newman’s Maiden Outdoor Performance Sparks Controversy Online

Singer Safo Newman had the opportunity to engage with his Ghanaian fans who have embraced his soulful song, Akokoa during his first-ever stage performance.

His stagecraft has however stirred up debate on the internet, with diverse views shared on social media platforms where the video was posted.

The emerging artise who has been touted as the new kid on the block showcased his talent at the Twinsdntbe’s International Photo Art Exhibition, where he was accompanied by a skilled saxophonist.

While some supporters criticized his performance as lacklustre, others expressed understanding, noting that he is still new to the industry and will improve with experience.

Safo Newman recently expressed his gratitude to Sarkodie for the significant impact he had on the popularity of his song, Akokea.

The track has been performing exceptionally well on various digital platforms and has garnered immense attention on social media, propelling Newman into the limelight.

During an interview with Graphic Showbiz, Newman humbly mentioned his desire to meet Sarkodie, possibly to convey his appreciation for the role he played in elevating his song to such prominence.

Newman emphasized that meeting Sarkodie would be an absolute dream come true for him.

He said:  “His duet of my song really added volume to it and I can say that even made it go viral. Just meeting him in person and saying thank you  will be enough even if a collaboration does not happen soon. I would really like to meet him in person.”
