On Sunday night, the Screen Actors Guild gave out its annual awards for the best acting in movies and TV shows. The Los Angeles Fairmont Century Plaza played host to the event. Before the Oscars on March 12, this was the biggest award event of the year.
For the first time ever, the 2023 Screen Actors Guild Awards were broadcast live on Netflix’s YouTube account. The awards ceremony honoured the year’s best actors and actresses in film and television.
“Everything Everywhere All at Once” won the top award for outstanding cast in a film, as well as three of the acting awards for individual actors. The sci-fi movie also won the top prize at the 2023 PGA Awards.
The top TV awards went to “The White Lotus” and “Abbott Elementary,” which won for outstanding casts in a drama series and a comedy series, respectively. A lifetime achievement award was given to actress Sally Field.
