Samini Clashes With Fan Over Black Stars Disappointing Draw With Mozambique

Samini found himself embroiled in a heated argument with a fan after expressing his disappointment over the Black Stars’ dismal performance.

The Dancehall/Reggae artist had previously taken to social media to share his thoughts on the team’s devastating loss to the Mozambicans. In the dying moments of the game, the Black Stars conceded two goals in just four minutes, leading to their draw and this annoyed Samini to the core and Ghanaians in general.

Samini specifically criticized Richard Ofori and expressed his disbelief at the turn of events. He highlighted certain moments from the match that had captured his attention. He also shared his thoughts on the entire game, as shared below:

“Wow smh. I’ve been trying to type but nothing makes sense to me, Chale. 2:0 and then almost full-time, you say What?? Cut Dede a slack if you got a hand ball, c’mon, shit happens.

“Can someone explain to me what this goal keeper was trying to say after he touched the ball and started denying he did before the ref could even say anything. Did anyone also realize Kudus wanted to take his own penalty but didn’t get to, and that demoralized him totally. Now I have to do 24 hours in Abidjan in a GH jersey lol. I die,” Samini posted.

Nevertheless, the atmosphere shifted to a more acrimonious one when a Twitter user mentioned Samini in a derogatory manner. The individual behind the troll account wrote, “Even the Black Stars don’t annoy me as much as @samini_dagaati does. He’s an ignorant fool who believes he’s all-knowing. Such a foolish person from the north.”

In response, an infuriated Samini retaliated and made a solemn promise to track down the individual X user and confront him directly.

“Expressing myself on an app oo and see this one … What do you mean by ‘foolish northerner please’? Don’t let me look for you to say this to me in my face, young lad. Don’t let this app make you feel untouchable, my guy. You wan pull tribal card? Opinions are free. I no go block you. I’ll find you. I promise,” Samini replied.

The troll, sensing a potential threat, expressed sincere apologies to Samini and explained that his words were spoken out of frustration due to the Black Stars’ loss. Samini graciously forgave him and kindly requested that he refrain from engaging in such behaviour in the future, emphasizing the importance of choosing peace.
