Serwaa Amihere Is A Dishonest Role Model- Counselor Adofoli

Frank Edem Adofoli, a renowned Ghanaian counsellor and influential figure on social media, has strongly criticized Serwaa Amihere for her tough demeanour and refusal to publicly acknowledge her shortcomings regarding her sex video scandal.

In a recent Facebook post sighted by Tru News Report, Counselor Adofoli pointed out that Serwaa Amihere has been advocating for virtues while engaging in vices, which sets a dishonest example for the young women who admire her.

He further urged her to take accountability for her actions and offer a sincere apology instead of pretending as if nothing had occurred. Here’s what he posted:

She got involved with someone who is reported to be married; she was the MC at his wedding. An intimate moment was recorded and later leaked to the public. Why do people think someone brought this upon her? She brought this upon herself.

All of us make mistakes in one way or another, but what really matters is how we take responsibility, learn from the mistake, and bounce back. In the case of Serwaa Amihere, instead of trying to admit what happened, apologize to the public and take some time off the screen to heal, she is trying to portray herself as strong,.

The friends try to whitewash what happened by posting her bio, which does not take away the damage to their reputation or heal her. Covering a wound is not how you heal. Denying damage is not how you rebuild a reputation. Serwaa has been trying to play a role model for young ladies with her quotes, words, and events.

The youth need a role model who is honest and responsible. If she does not take responsibility, this issue will die with her reputation. I am not judging her in any way.

It is human nature to make mistakes, but if a person is not willing to admit them, take responsibility for them and learn from them but pretends nothing happened, they should not hold themselves as role models for the youth. The youth’s reaction to this issue shows how they feel about her.

They are confused about the behaviour of the people who seeks to be their role model. They preach the virtue and do the vice. They preach morality and practice immorality.

There are women of Valour who have lived the test of time in the media space, and the young need to know and learn from them. It’s not about throwing a shade.

Nobody is making Serwaa look bad or jubilating over her misfortune.

Serwaa’s attitude portrayed in recent times did not show someone who is going through something that needs empathy or help. In conclusion, “Be kind and honest, and you will live a long life; others will respect you and treat you fairly” (GNT).
