Stonebwoy Robbed In US By Unidentified Gunmen- Details

Report Tru News Report is picking up right this minute indicates that Stonebwoy has been robbed in the United States of America.

According to reports, the robbery event took place in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. Outside a well-known jewellery store, the musician and his team were attacked by armed robbers, leaving him and his crew members terrified and shaken.

Furthermore, we understand the incident took place after Stonebwoy and his group had finished their shopping at an Icebox store in Atlanta.

Their day took a frightening turn when they were approached by the armed men just outside the store’s boundaries, amid all the glitz and glamour of retail therapy. The thieves threatened the artiste and his ”boys’ with guns, fired shots, and then took their possessions.

Ghanaian blogger DJ Hyper confirmed the news in a Facebook post, which reads:

BREAKING: Ghanaian Reggae Dancehall star Stonebwoy and his team robbed by armed men in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. According to sources, Stonebwoy was done shopping at the Icebox when he was ambushed just outside the shop by armed assailants who fired at them and robbed them.

The video below depicts dancehall and afrobeats artist Stonebwoy in the Ice Box shop, his final social media post before the incident was reported.

Away from this unfortunate incident, Stonebwoy recently debuted at No. 47 on the Afrobeats Songs chart of Billboard in the United States.

The musician debuted at number 47 on the chart with the song “Life & Money,” featuring Stormzy. Stonebwoy’s 5th Dimension, released in 2023, has the song as the album’s lead single. The remix of “Life & Money,” which features British rapper Stonebwoy, was released in July.

Months after its release, 5th Dimension,” a 17-song album, entered the number eight spot on the Billboard World Reggae Album chart.

In the history of reggae music as entertainment in Ghana, this is the first record from Ghana to achieve such global success. Billboard says their ranking is “based on multi-metric consumption blending traditional album sales, track equivalent albums, and streaming (audio and video) equivalent albums.”
