Stonebwoy Sacked Me Via Text Message- OV Shares Dark Side During Her Time With Bhim Boss
Ghanaian singer Barbara Naa Okailey Nyarko, widely known within the scope of showbiz as Okailey Verse has shared the dark side of her time at Stonebwoy’s Burniton Music Group (BMG) during a recent interview with NY DJ on BTM Afrika.
OV, who was axed together with Kelvynboy from the record label owned by the legendary Stonebwoy- said the Bhim boss sacked her from his camp via a text message and up to this day, the whole scenario remains muddy to her.
The Dancehall specialist maintained that she still doesn’t know the precise reason for the termination of her contract, which was pegged at 5 years but truncated after just 6 months.
When asked if she had broken the conditions of her contract, she responded by saying, “Nothing actually occurred. I went where I wanted to go, performed what I needed to do, picked up some knowledge, and then it was over. I honestly have no idea what happened since I am still unable to explain it.
Stonebwoy texted me to let me know that he no longer wants to collaborate with any of his musicians. I attended meetings and asked questions, but nothing was clear,” she explained.
In any case, OV is grateful she got the chance to work with the label.
“I was harmed, but I’m doing great. “I actually admired the singer (Stonebwoy) and thought I could learn a thing or two from him, so I really wanted to be there (with Burniton Music Group),” she added.
