The Entire Cast Of ‘Girls Trip 2’ Is Coming Back Together For An Exciting New Adventure In Ghana

The girls are back together again in “Girls Trip 2,” this time for an exciting new adventure in Ghana starring Regina Hall, Queen Latifah, Tiffany Haddish, and Jada Pinkett Smith.

Tracy Oliver, the film’s co-writer from 2017, has stated categorically that production on season 2 is planned for Ghana. While at the Sundance Film Festival, Oliver told Variety that the movie, titled Girls Trip 2, is in the works and would feature the return of the original ensemble, who would this time travel to Ghana for the music festival Afrochella.

She said “It’s officially happening.” “I can say that,” Oliver said. “Everyone’s coming back.” “No one else knows this, and Girls Trip producer Will Packer might kill me, but we’re looking to set it in Ghana.” The filming of Girl Trip 2 in Ghana will bring together a number of A-list Hollywood actresses, including Jada Pinkett Smith, Queen Latifah, Tiffany Hadish, and Reginald Hall.

An actor named Shoniqua Shandai from Oliver’s “Harlem” cast yelled “Afrochella!” when he heard the news. The annual Afrochella festival is the highlight of Ghana’s cultural and musical cycle and takes its name from the popular American festival Coachella. Since Oliver has not yet turned in her script, there is currently no information available on when filming will begin.

Making $140 million worldwide on a $20 million budget, the first Girls Trip was a financial triumph. The movie, which is a comedy and was directed by Malcolm D. Lee, is about four female friends who go to New Orleans to go to the Essence Music Festival.
