Tish Cyrus Reveals Marital Woes After Marrying The Man Her Daughter Was Dating
Tish Cyrus, the mother of Miley Cyrus has admitted she has problems with her husband Dominic Purcell, following her younger daughter Noah’s assertion that she was romantically involved with the “Prison Break” star before his marriage to Tish.
In an episode of her daughter Brandi’s podcast, “Sorry We’re Stoned,” Tish, aged 56, who tied the knot with the 54-year-old actor in August, expressed her thoughts on the matter.
“There are definitely issues,” said Tish, who has not publicly remarked on the rumors of 24-year-old Noah’s former romance with Purcell. “But issues also — because I love him — that I’m dealing with.”
Neither Noah nor son Braison, 29, were in attendance when Tish and Purcell wed, though Miley, 31, did serve as maid of honor.
“I was so scared when I first met Dom, my husband, which was not that long ago,” said the music manager. “But it is crazy because I am a Taurus and he is an Aquarius, and every single thing I read said, ‘Don’t even do it. It is the absolute worst pairing.’”
“But that’s just not who he is. He is not emotional,” she continued. Cyrus added that while the differences in the couple’s personalities “could be a problem,” she no longer finds herself “getting so offended because I respect and love him … we have conversations.”
Communicating like that, she admitted, is something she’s “never been good at.”
Tish and Billy Ray Cyrus tied the knot in late 2003 and remained married until April 2022, despite going through several separations over the years.
The couple, who both had children from previous relationships, formed a blended family and welcomed Miley, Braison, and Noah together.
