VeryDarkman Allegedly Released From Prison

Nigerian influencer and commentator Martins Vincent Otse, aka VeryDarkman, has allegedly been released from prison after meeting bail conditions.

Unverified sources suggest that he regained his freedom on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, after meeting the strict conditions set for his bail. It should be recalled that a few days ago, VeryDarkman was arrested and detained by the police on charges of cyberbullying Nollywood actress, Tonto Dikeh.

Shortly after, details of the onerous bail requirements emerged, which included presenting a property and business owner with a government seal of oath.

Additionally, VeryDarkman was expected to surrender his international passport for a year and provide a sum of N200 million.

However, a video circulating on social media depicts the outspoken influencer exchanging pleasantries following his reported release from the cell.

As of now, there remains scepticism among Nigerians regarding the authenticity of these reports, as the controversial activist has yet to address or issue a statement.

Check out reactions to this new development:

@Nwafresh commented; Verydarkman don leave prison keh? Counter Attack from him through the right, Portable follow from the left..

Selfmadeceleb3; It’s over for bobrisky,Tonto dike and Samklef. VDM please make sure you arrest all of them for stealing your freedom for 5days. How Bobrisky wan take survive this week??

@aprokonurse_; Finally, if he likes he shouldn’t reduce his cho cho Cho, he should learn his lessons now, being a freedom fighter or advocate in Nigeria doesn’t always end well, you mustn’t involve yourself in everything

@_Daniels02; How did he regain freedom, what are the details or are all this clout chasing. ?

@Punteriann; That guy say na don’t play. Them no born am well to play again. He go keep mouth for one place for a while

@afrisagacity; Good to have VeryDarkBlackMan out of detention. Hope he wasn’t bailed on stringent terms, especially against his right to create content that condemn social ills and perverted behaviors like the one that landed him in detention. He should be allowed absolute freedom as enshrined in the constitution.

That said, what’s instructive in this video is the fact that most of the guys who are there to guide him out of detention are content creators. Sariki, MC Koboko and co. This prompt one to ask if they now have a union. If they do, it’s quite a good move. This will help them f!ght against issues of interests like this. However, they shouldn’t build “cult” with it that will further affect up-comers like we are seeing in the Movie industry. Hope this helps.
