We Will Get There! – Wiyaala sends goodwill message to Ghanaian Guinness World Sing-a-thon Record Contender

All the way from Funsi in the Upper West Region of Northern Ghana, afro-pop star, Noella Wiyaala has sent a message of goodwill to Afua Asantewaa who is currently undergoing a Guinness Record sing-a-thon challenge.

In a video posted on social media, Wiyaala urged Afua to achieve her ultimate goal and make Ghana proud.

“Hi everyone, my name is Wiyaala the lioness of Africa all the way from Funsi, Upper West – Northern Region Ghana. We are watching our sister Afua, going to break the Guinness World Record… Go Afua, go Afua. We are watching it, go for gold; you can do it, you can do it. Keep going we will get there, we know we will,” she cheered surrounded by some family and friends.

Afua’s Guinness World Record attempt for the longest singing marathon has already surpassed three days and some 19 hours.

The event which has become the centre of attraction in entertainment in Ghana over the past few days, commenced at the Akwaaba Village in Accra on December 24, 2023.

She is expected to end sone nine hours after December 27, 2023.

Afua Asantewaa has received wide support from Ghanaians in her attempt.

Several celebrities and personalities have turned up at the Akwaaba Village to cheer her on.

She is solely performing indigenous Ghanaian songs including Wiyaala’s rendition of Oyaya by Osibisa.
