What I’d Have Done With Cecilia Dapaah’s $1million – John Dumelo Writes

John Dumelo has waded into Cecilia Dapaah’s stolen money saga, detailing how he would have used the money to rescue Ghana.

Ms. Dapaah made headlines when she instituted legal action against her housekeeper and others, accusing them of allegedly stealing $1million, €300,000 and unknown amounts of cedis.

Dumelo couldn’t help but think about what he could do with even a small amount of her money after seeing how she made news by causing the arrest of her housekeeper and others.

John Dumelo stated his intention to greatly expand his onion and tomato farm if given the chance to do so. He said he planned to use the money to improve his irrigation system and purchase high-yielding seeds in order to increase his farm’s output and income.

“Only if I had a fraction of Cecilia Dapaah’s $1 million, the importation of onions and tomatoes from Burkina and Niger will reduce by 10% in 2024 and 19% in 2025. I will invest heavily in irrigation and high-yielding seeds and make some good profits. So help me, God!” Dumelo wrote on social media.

According to reports, between July and October of 2022, the former minister of sanitation had millions of dollars stolen from her Abelemkpe residence by her housekeepers. The minister has resigned as a result of the scandal.

It is alleged that 18-year-old Patience Botwe and 30-year-old Sarah Agyei stole $1 million, €300,000, and thousands of Ghana cedis, in addition to clothing and jewels valued at over GH$100,000. Two housekeepers and three other suspects have been sent to a circuit court in Accra to face charges.
