Wizkid Calls Me Every Week – Davido Shocks Fans With New Revelation
Despite their protracted feud which equally pitches their respective fans on the same tangent, Davido has revealed in a new interview that he has a cordial relationship with his rival Wizkid.
The DMW boss revealed that Wizkid always phones to check on him every week when he was recently interviewed on Lagos’ Beat 99.9FM.
He added that a joint tour between him and Wizkid will start up the following year. Davido also suggested working with the Grammy-winning artiste in the future.
He said, “I would be lying to you if I tell you that [the tour] is not in the talks. It’s looking like next year. I think me and Wiz are probably going to drop a record. Shout out to my brother. He literally calls me every week and checks on me. Shout out to Wiz”.
Similarly, Tru News Report previously mentioned that following the release of Davido’s latest studio album, his perceived rival Wizkid has shockingly asked his fans to stream his songs- while calling him his ‘brother.’
The album which has already started making waves on some digital streaming platforms was released by the veteran Afrobeat star on March 31, 2023.
Despite their protracted feud, Wizkid showed maturity by patting his industry on the back and asking his fans- generically known as Wizkid FC to patronise the new album. “Inside!! Y’all go listen to timeless by my brother @Davido ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥,” he wrote.
