Yemi Alade Sends Shots At Rumour Mongers For Saying She’s Pregnant For Togo’s President

Yemi Alade has responded to the persistent rumours that she is expecting a child with Togo’s president, Faure Essozimna Gnassingbé Eyadéma.

Over the last couple of hours, the attention has been on the Nigerian singer fondly remembered for her monster hit ‘Johnny’ as online gossip portals spin that she had been having affair with the Togolese president and was even pregnant for him.

The unsubstantiated allegation started when gossip vlogger, Tosin Silverdam, posted a video on his Facebook of a man alleging that Yemi Alade is expecting the president of Togo’s child and that he intends to make her his sixth wife.

While reacting, Yemi Alade tweeted emojis in response to the rumour, including a laughing and a pregnancy emoji.

Then she took a shot at the rumour mongers saying, “The ment is different this Jan. If you no like your job, abeg pretend small when you see costumers na. This January people dey really Ment,” she tweeted.

Born Yemi Eberechi Alade, Yemi Alade is a Nigerian Afropop singer, composer, actress, and activist who was born on March 13, 1989. She joined with Effyzzie Music Group after winning the Peak Talent Show in 2009, and in 2014, her single “Johnny” became a hit.

Since then, Yemi has risen to popularity in the music business and is now regarded as one of Africa’s biggest performers. She started world tours immediately after the publication of her albums King of Queens and Mama Africa, both of which saw tremendous financial success.
