DJ Vyrusky Makes Key Revelation About Why Ghanaian Musicians Are Unable To Fill O2 Arena

DJ Vyrusky, a well-known DJ, has weighed in on why Ghanaian artistes have such a hard time drawing big crowds to their shows abroad.

This argument comes from ongoing worries about Ghanaian musicians, who haven’t been as successful at selling out international shows as Nigerian artists like Wizkid, Davido, Burna Boy, and Asake.

In an interview with TV3’s The Ladies Circle, he discussed the difficulties of this undertaking. He emphasised the importance of widespread advertising and cautious strategic preparation.

“You can’t be in Ghana and expect to sell out the O2 Arena. It doesn’t make sense. You can’t stay here and not go to the UK to promote yourself as an artist and expect to have a sold-out concert there,” he said.

Vyrusky emphasised the importance of collaborating with international artistes as a means to achieve success in international shows. He used artistes like Wizkid and Asake as examples of those who have effectively collaborated with foreign acts to expand their fan bases in other countries.

Furthermore, he pointed out the role of event organisers in the successful promotion of shows in international markets. They’re important in coordinating the marketing, logistics, and venue selection for a successful overseas performance.
