You Have Sold Us To Our Enemies- Caroline Sampson Reacts To Joselyn Dumas ‘Born One’ Comment

Caroline Sampson recently posted on X, sharing a humorous response to Joselyn Dumas’ ‘born one’ remark.

Recall that actress and media personality Joselyn Dumas recently explained the reasons why many single mothers, (often called born one or born two, depending on whether they have one child or two), struggle to find a partner to marry.

She pointed out that societal stereotypes play a significant role in men rejecting single mothers like herself.

Despite being unmarried, Joselyn, who has a teenage daughter, shared her thoughts on why single mothers like her face challenges in finding a life partner on her YouTube channel.

She emphasized that societal norms and prejudices often hinder single mothers from entering into a committed relationship. She said:

“We have our kids as single mothers but we still want to be happy. We still want to date other people.

“Let me tell you why we don’t go out and marry. I spoke to a friend of mine here, Anthony. He said, ‘Me, I will never be with a born one’.

“His reason was, ‘Why would I come and raise somebody else’s child? That’s not my bloodline. He doesn’t have any trace of my DNA in him. Why am I going to now help someone’s bloodline grow? What about mine?’

“And I said to myself that this is the reason why a lot of single mothers are single with their children,” he said.

She further raised concerns about the contrasting perspectives on adoption, proposing that the act of nurturing a non-biological child should not be perceived as distinct.

To this end, Caroline Sampson who formerly worked with YFM and now with Asaase Radio, expressed her reaction by stating that Dumas’s candid acknowledgement of the situation will have minimal impact in garnering sympathy from a society that adheres to stereotypes and altering the prevailing narrative.

In her view, Dumas has merely managed to betray all women by pandering to their adversaries. Note that Caroline is also a single mother.
