Ghanaian actress, model, filmmaker, novelist, and entrepreneur Yvonne Nelson was born in November 12, 1985. She’s Fante-Ga. Accra’s St.

Her first school was St. Martin De Porres School in Accra. Subsequently attended Aggrey Memorial Senior High School. She studied HR management at Zenith University College and Central University. She earned a master’s in International Relations and Diplomacy from GIMPA in 2020.

Career

Nelson, a former Miss Ghana finalist, accidently started her career when she went to her favourite venue to observe an audition and the producer requested her to perform. He got her number after she declined.

Princess Tyra (2007) and Playboy (2008) were her first film roles. She began filmmaking in 2011. “The Price,” her first film, was released that year.

She produced “Single and Married” (2012) and “House of Gold” (2013).

The latter earned Ghana Movie Awards Best Picture and 2013 City People Entertainment Awards Best Ghanaian Movie.

On Sunday, June 18, 2023, Yvonne Nelson unveiled her controversial memoir titled “I Am Not Yvonne Nelson”.

Yvonne Nelson in her book shares a gripping account in her memoir that sheds light on her secret involvement with rapper Sarkodie. Detailing their sexual relation, unplanned pregnancy and its termination. She also made known in her book that Iyanya, the nigerian musician cheated on her with the actress, Tonto Dikeh.

Personal Life

Nelson and ex-boyfriend Jamie Roberts had a daughter on October 29, 2017. The actress didn’t address pregnancy rumours until WOW Magazine covered her daughter’s birth.
