Presently trending on social media is the photo of a Zambian football player who received five crates of eggs after he emerged as the best player in a match.
The player has been identified as Kennedy Musonda, a centre forward who plies his trade for Power Dynamos. Musonda reportedly scored the only goal against Nkana football club in a local derby.
According to Zambian reports, three trays are for the man of the match award that he won, while two crates of eggs are for the lone goal that he scored. A club fan who runs a poultry farm presented the crates of eggs to Kenny Musonda.
The 27-year-old top striker has notched six goals in the league for his club side so far this season.
Meanwhile, Black Galaxies coach Annor Walker has said he and his team have devised a different strategy to outwit their next opponent as they lock horns with Sudan in the ongoing CHAN tournament in Algeria on Thursday.
Ghana was beaten by minnows and debutants Madagascar, losing 2-1 in Constantine in their opening match. The Black Galaxies have to redeem themselves and win the confidence of their fans as they get ready to meet Sudan in the next game on Thursday.
Ghana coach Annor Walker spoke to reporters and revealed what he has under his sleeves in the crunch encounter with the Sudanese while lamenting about his team’s performance against Madagascar.
“I wasn’t happy with my team, especially in the first half. We did not play the way we are used to. Our players were not mobile and after the changes in the second half we played better,” Walker said.
