Accident Involving John Mahama’s Convoy Leaves Three People Injured

Former President John Dramani Mahama’s convoy was involved in an accident on his campaign visit in the Savannah Region, leaving three people injured.

The accident took place on Thursday in Dartotili, a neighbourhood of Tamale in the Northern Region, and three people were injured to varying degrees.

The National Democratic Congress’s regional communications officer for Savannah, R.A. Jelil, and someone named Samed are the other two people who were hurt.

The group had travelled all the way from the East and North-East Gonja Districts back to the Central and North Gonja Districts to see Yapei and Daoboya, but they were unable to do so.

The victims were sent to the Tamale Teaching Hospital for treatment.

One of the victims, TV3 journalist Christopher Amoako, was seen being attended to by the ex-President as he lay on the floor. It is not yet known what caused the accident.
