Adisadel Video: Andy Dosty Narrates How He Nearly Killed A Fellow Student

Amidst the hullabaloo surrounding the disturbing video of a student of Adisadel College who was brutalized by his mate, radio personality Andy Dosty has shared his own experience that nearly resulted in the death of his antagonist.

The horrific video depicts a student, holding the victim’s right face in a cut and swelling after trapping the victim’s neck in an elbow lock and striking his head on a metal item. Social media indignation over the violent video that has been going around has led to worries for the safety of kids in the nation’s educational institutions.

Due to the victim’s failure to report the incident, the offender and victim have both been suspended since the video went viral. Additionally, the housemaster lost his position. In response to the incident, GES officials stated that they were highly concerned, strongly condemned the perpetrator’s inhumane act, and were taking urgent action.

The suspension of the victim has however been rescinded by authorities of Adisadel College following social media protest.

Sharing his opinion about the incident, Andy Dosty admitted on his Hitz FM program that he had once been into a physical argument that may have ended tragically.

“I’m a culprit. I nearly killed someone,” he revealed “I was this close to taking the life of a colleague. We were asked to weed. I had gone to weed. After weeding, my dormitory was upstairs so I had climbed and I saw one of our colleagues coming up.”

Andy shared how he attempted to playfully knock a pail off Obeng’s head using a machete, but tragically struck his forehead instead.

“He had also finished weeding and was going to take his shower. He had put the pail we use to scoop the water on his head, so, I used the machete and wanted to hit the pail off his head and the thing landed right on his forehead,”  he shared.

Andy Dosty whose emotions were evident as he relived the incident, acknowledged the gravity of his actions.

He further narrated, “How stupid, how foolish I was; I don’t know what was going through my mind,” the disc jockey recalled. “As he landed on the ground, he hid his forehead in his palm, and he raised his head and it was like a tap that had been opened and blood was oozing like that. I was like ‘Jesus!’”

The violent encounter had serious consequences, and the seasoned radio host said that he received harsh punishment for his behavior.

The severity of the wounds sustained by the victim, Obeng Asare, required surgery. The victim still had a mark, according to Andy’s subsequent contact with her, but he also noted that surgery had been done to treat the obvious wound.

“When students go to school, they do a lot of wrongs, they make a lot of mistakes. I get worried when I hear stuff like this because as I said, I’m a culprit,” the ‘Love You Die’ singer expressed.
