Agyemang-Badu Rallies Support For Dreams FC Ahead Of Zamalek Clash

Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu is calling on all Ghanaians to rally behind Dream FC as they prepare to face Egyptian powerhouse Zamalek in the second leg of the CAF Confederation Cup at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

Despite facing numerous challenges, Dream FC managed to secure a goalless draw in Egypt, placing them in a favourable position to progress to the finals of Africa’s second-tier competition.

In light of this achievement, Dreams FC has announced that the popular centre-line stands of the stadium will be open to fans free of charge, while tickets for the other sections are available for a modest GHC 20 and GHC 50.

Expressing his thoughts on the matter, Agyeman Badu, who had a successful career playing for Udinese and other top European clubs, commended this initiative as a positive step forward.

He also urged all Ghanaians to come out in full force and support the team by filling the stadium with love and encouragement. He took to social media write:

This is a momentous occasion for Dreams FC, and it’s crucial that we give them every chance to succeed. Their journey to the semi-finals marks a significant milestone for Ghanaian football, and it’s only fitting that we do everything in our power to support them.

As far as this competition is concerned, Moroccan clubs lead in victories with seven titles, while Tunisia follows closely behind with five. Morocco boasts the highest number of winning teams, with five clubs clinching the title.

A total of 13 clubs have won the competition, with five of them securing the title more than once. Club Sfaxien holds the record for the most successful club in the competition, having won it three times.

USM Alger currently holds the title as defending champions after defeating Young Africans in the 2023 final.
