Despite losing his presidential ambition to Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia in the NPP’s primary, Kennedy Agyapong remains committed to his anti-corruption campaign.
Currently, he has turned his attention towards Asenso Boakye Assin and has urged the flagbearers of Ghana’s two major political parties to investigate the former Chief Justice and the Housing Minister regarding the acquisition of state lands and the late Justice Marful-Sau’s house.
Agyapong emphasizes that it will be the responsibility of the winner of the 2024 elections to hold accountable those who have acted greedily about state lands and properties. The outspoken legislator conveyed this message while addressing delegates in the Bantama constituency.
“I have a task for the Vice President and Mahama. If the Vice President wins or Mahama wins I will follow up for investigations to take place on that building.
“They should do what they want but we will put Ghana first. We will not sit for some small boys to use their positions to steal from the country. They can take me to court, but I can assure them that I will be the first to report them to the Special Prosecutor,” he said.
He said, “I have dared the former Chief Justice to come out and let us know who has Justice Marful-Sau residence. What kind of life is this? They have become pompous, and when you vote for them, they walk over you. Jubilee House cannot threaten anyone. They are all leaving,” he said.
