Beatmaker MOG Sheds Light On Ghanaian Artistes Who Are Depressed
Ghanaian producer MOG Beatz has taken to Twitter to reveal that some Ghanaian artistes are depressed while apportioning a reason for this phenomenon.
MOG Beatz believes some artistes who find it hard to sustain their mainstream relevance with hit songs slip into a state of depression which gravely affect their personality as a whole.
MOG tweeted, “Chale a lot of Artistes are depressed o.. May God give them peace .. Cos eno easy especially when the hits are not coming and the fans are constantly downgrading their efforts“.
“Even some producers, video directors, actors, etc are also depressed. Lord have mercy“.
His post somewhat resonates with what Mzvee revealed about herself a few months ago. Recall that the Ghanaian singer revealed that she had bouts of depression over issues with her family and relationships during an appearance on TV3 with Berla Mundi.
“For about two years say 2017, 2018, I was super depressed. Super super depressed.” she told Berla Mundi and was asked what made her depressed, she added that “it was just things happening personally and it happened to affect my relationship with work.”
MzVee added that during that period, the only person she could count was her colleague Ghanaian singer, Efya, who has been in the industry for long. “It was really tough but Efya, I’ve always looked up to her, she’s become like a big sis so she’s one person who really helped me,” she said.
