Best Student In Chartered Accounting: Academic Credentials Of Police Officer Killed During Bullion Robbery Pops Up

Tru News Report has learnt that the police officer who was fatally gunned down by armed robbers at Ablekuma during a robbery operation at a filling station was adjudged the best student in Chartered Accounting days before his demise.

A Facebook user who was apparently close to the deceased, took to social media to mourn him while sharing pictures of him receiving his award at the University of Professional Studies where he studied as sighted by Tru News Report.

Before this development, Tru News Report also published photos of the policeman who was fatally shot during a brazen daylight robbery at Ablekuma.

The incident occurred when some robbers attacked a bullion van at the Ablekuma Fan Milk neighbourhood of Accra. Tragically, as a result of their illegal conduct, a police officer who was accompanying a bullion truck while on duty was shot and killed.

The unidentified policeman was reportedly sitting in the front of the car when the attackers struck, firing numerous shots at close range. To apprehend the robbers, the Ghana Police immediately began a manhunt operation.

The four suspects who were allegedly engaged in the robbery and the police officer’s murder were identified thanks to their persistent work, and they have reportedly been apprehended.

Immediately the robbery took place, the police released the following statement regarding the ongoing investigation:

“The Police are on a manhunt to arrest a gang of four robbers who attacked a bullion van at Ablekuma Fanmilk, a suburb of Accra, and shot the police escort who has unfortunately passed on. Our prayers and thoughts are with the family of our deceased colleague in particular and all personnel of the Police Service in general. We wish to assure the public that we will surely get the robbers arrested to face justice.”
