Bob Marley Recruits Stonebwoy For Remake of One Love Album After Sarkodie Feature

The team of the late legendary reggae icon Bob Marley has announced that the upcoming album, titled African Unite, will feature Ghanaian reggae and dancehall musician Stonebwoy.

The 10-song collection will come out on Friday, August 4, 2023, and will feature new versions of some of the famous reggae musician’s most popular songs. The best in reggae and Afrobeats’ fusion remade the huge hits with the infectious rhythms of Afrobeats, including the famous “Buffalo Soldier,” which features the Ghanaian BET award-winner and GRAMMY-nominated singer.

Stonebwoy’s career has reached new heights with this alliance, which adds to his long list of work with reggae’s luminaries. His recent work as a guest artist on the single “Can’t Lock The Dance” by German reggae star Gentleman follows the critical success of his previous collaboration with Ivorian reggae legend Alpha Blondy on the track “Love Power,” further solidifying his position as a world-renowned reggae ambassador.

In addition to Bob Marley’s classic tunes, “Africa Unite” features collaborations with artists such as Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie, Nigeria’s Tiwa Savage, Rema, Teni, Oxlade, Ayra Starr, and Patoranking. Bob Marley’s music is celebrated in entertainment in Ghana and various musical traditions in Africa.

The album promotes togetherness and collaboration by fusing the soulful vibrations of reggae with the irresistible energy of Afrobeats, representing the late artist’s goal of a peaceful world through music.

As part of the “5th Dimension” North America and Canada tour in support of his new album Manubcturod & Distruburtod by Promiline Pration, Stonebwoy is now in the United States making media visits.
