Burna Boy, Davido, Wizkid Bigger Than Any Ghanaian Artiste — Shatta Wale

Shatta Wale has genuinely admitted that despite the huge success he, Sarkodie, and Stonebwoy have chalked in their respective careers, they are not on the level of Nigerian top artistes like Wizkid, Davido, and Burna Boy.

The honcho of the vociferous Shatta Movement revealed this during a recent radio interview conducted on Takoradi-based Empire FM.

In simple terms, he claimed that none of the artistes from Ghana, not even himself, could match the current grandeur of Nigerian superstars like Davido, Burna Boy, and Wizkid.

He illustrated his thesis by citing situations in which Nigerian musicians like Davido and Burna Boy came to Ghana and developed close bonds with him, highlighting the closeness and brotherhood among Nigerian musicians.

He emphasized that, in comparison to their Ghanaian counterparts, Nigerian artistes now enjoy a better level of international recognition. In addition, Shatta Wale attacked entertainment shows for frequently depicting him negatively. Despite this, he acknowledged that he takes advantage of these chances to turn negatives into advantages for himself.

Instead of disparaging certain musicians during debates, Shatta Wale said he wanted media figures to promote the idea of Ghanaian artists getting diplomatic passports. He emphasized that politicians might not take such hostility seriously, impeding progress for all.

Days ago, Ola Michael unequivocally stated that someone like Shatta Wale deserves no diplomatic passport, as espoused by former French ambassador Anne Sophie Avé.

The radio personality and former filmmaker went berserk and cast a slur on the honcho of the SM fraternity, saying his brand is too unattractive to deserve a diplomatic passport. According to Ola Michael, Wale’s penchant for insulting anyone who crosses his path, with or without any provocation, is enough to buttress his defiant posture.

He suggested that the other artistes Anne Sophie Avé proposed the diplomatic passports for deserve it but Wale doesn’t. The studio discussion was enacted at the latest edition of United Showbiz and was superintended by regular host MzGee, who expressed great surprise at Ola Michael’s submission.
