Celebs Join John Dumelo To Mark One Week Memorial Service For Late Mother

Antoinette Ama Ampomah Dumelo, the cherished mother of Ghanaian politician and actor John Dumelo, passed away a week ago. A one-week memorial service was held at the Holy Spirit Cathedral in Accra.

As family, friends, colleagues, and a handful of celebs gathered to pay their respects in a moving ceremony, the Cathedral echoed with a mixture of sadness and warm memories. On this solemn occasion, Antoinette Ama Ampomah Dumelo, the matriarch of the Dumelo family, was remembered with profound regard and love.

One individual who appeared to be deeply affected by the event was none other than John Dumelo himself. As a renowned actor and politician, he is known for his captivating persona, and on this particular day, he was observed wiping away tears as he navigated the complex emotions of the occasion. The passing of his mother, Antoinette Ama Ampomah Dumelo, was felt by all in attendance, and his sorrow was palpable and shared by all who had gathered to honor her memory.

Furthermore, it is worth noting that John Dumelo was accompanied by his beloved wife, Gifty Dumelo, as well as his esteemed sister-in-law, Sena Thywill Adzo Nkornu, Sharaf Dramani Mahama, the son of the former President Mahama, and the esteemed Lawyer Akua Esq. On August 16, 2023, John Dumelo took to social media to announce the peaceful passing of his dear mother.

In a Facebook post, John Dumelo said “My heart is broken. My dear mother passed away peacefully yesterday….my number one supporter. Heaven has gained an angel“. The actor shared the sad news with fond photos of his mother.

John Dumelo’s mother was a retired customs officer. The cause of her death is not yet known. The news has since been attracting tributes and consolation from the fans and friends of John Dumelo.
