Check Out How Ghanaian Billionaire, Dr. Kwabena Adjei Built a Castle In His Village

In a new documentary directed by YouTuber Wode Maya, the spotlight was put on Dr Kwabena Adjei, the founder and group chairman of Kasapreko Co. Ltd. Dr Adjei.

He is a Ghanaian billionaire who has made significant contributions to his native village of Bronyiama in the Western Region.

Through his efforts, he has transformed the community into a captivating tourist attraction. Dr Adjei’s journey began in Bronyiama, where he grew up, before venturing to the city in search of better opportunities.

After achieving financial success, he returned to his hometown with the intention of improving the lives of his people. Inspired by his ancestors, Dr. Adjei decided to convert his family house in Bronyiama into a magnificent castle, symbolizing the elevated status of his extended family.

It is important to note that this castle is not solely for his nuclear family but for the entire extended family. During an interview with Wode Maya, the soft-spoken Kasapreko boss shared his experiences growing up in the forested Western Region and the numerous challenges he faced in pursuing a basic education.

“I was born here and for the first 13 years of my life, it was here. I never travelled anywhere for those 13 years and it was very challenging because even here, I was not living in this village; only mother, my father and myself lived in the middle of the forest.

“So, I used to walk for about almost 5 miles to come to school here,” he explained.

Dr. Kwabena Adjei further explained his decision to retire in the very village that brought him up after many years of serving Ghanaians with trusted brands for decades.

“I’m a villager and I want to live in the village with the people and eat what they eat: grow your own thing and eat your own thing,” he added.

He is also the head of the Aduana Family.

When asked why he has not put himself out there as would have been expected of persons of his pedigree, Dr. Kwabena Adjei said what mattered is the impact he is making through his works.

“I don’t believe being out there will add any value to what I’m doing. You see the eagle, when it wants to hunt, it studies it prey and goes direct, straight, and picks it, and even it can even catch snakes.

“So, I focus, not being flamboyant. So, mine is focus, focus, focus,” he said.

This journey began in a garage with the visionary Dr. Kwabena Adjei, who has since built a sole firm owned by Ghanaians, producing alcoholic and non-alcoholic products with a herbal base. Inspired by the growing market for high-quality alcoholic beverages, Kasapreko Company Ltd. was established in 1989 with the specific goal of manufacturing locally produced, herbal-based alcoholic beverages.
