Cheddar Details How He Made His First Million Pounds At Age 21
Nana Kwame Bediako, popularly known as Cheddar and the leader of the New Force, has revealed the fascinating story behind his journey to amassing his first million pounds at the young age of 21.
The financial success, he disclosed, was a result of his involvement in telecommunications and the strategic business of selling scrap in the United Kingdom.
Speaking on the Point of View on Citi TV, Cheddar elaborated on his entrepreneurial ventures, stating that his initial million-dollar earnings came from a combination of activities, including running his company, GT (Global Telecommunications and Utilities), and engaging in the lucrative scrap business.
At the age of 21, he already had his own office and two employees, emphasizing his early entry into the world of entrepreneurship.
Detailing the trajectory of his investments, Cheddar recounted investing $20,000 from his initial earnings to establish a nightclub in Ghana.
The venture proved successful, as he later sold the club in 2002, reaping a profit of $75,000.
“The first money I made in England altogether was a million pounds and I was 21. I was working for myself, my company was GT, Global Telecommunications and Utilities, I was selling scrap. I had my own office and I had two employees.
“I started investments at a very young age and what happens when you make investments is that the money goes away and it feels like you are broke again so it makes you hungry.”
Beyond his entrepreneurial success, Cheddar has expressed a commitment to providing opportunities for the youth in the political landscape. He has announced plans to run for office in the 2024 polls, vowing to ensure that the youth are actively involved in decision-making processes.

According to Cheddar, the youth have been underrepresented in the political arena for the past four decades, being used by politicians who offer monetary incentives in exchange for votes.
“The New Force is standing for the youth in this country,” Cheddar asserted, emphasizing the need for young individuals to participate in shaping the nation’s leadership. He criticized the lack of young leaders in the past decades, stating, “In the past four decades, between NDC and NPP, there hasn’t been any young person who has stood up with the courage to say that I am coming in, and I am going to become the unifier.” Cheddar envisions a future where the youth play a pivotal role in determining the nation’s direction and leadership.
In a 2022 interview, Cheddar shared a similar story of how he made his first million pounds. The business magnate in 2022 stated that he made his first million pounds by selling stolen scrap metals and counterfeit Versace and YSL clothes, at age 21, in England.
