Chef Faila Sends ‘Strong’ Message To Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy, Samini For Not Showing Up To Support Her During Cook-A-Thon

Failatu Abdul-Razak aka Chef Faila, has expressed her disappointment regarding the absence of top mainstream artistes Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy, and Samini at her cookathon venue, the City Hotel in Tamale.

Chef Faila recently achieved the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon by an individual, which received overwhelming support from Ghanaians, especially those from the three northern regions of the country.

Despite the massive support she received, many artistes failed to show up, unlike the support several artistes showed to Afua Asantewaa’s longest singing marathon in Accra, which took place just days before Chef Faila’s event.

Faila expressed her unhappiness that these artists, whose songs she deeply admires, did not attend her cookathon. She emphasized that if something unfortunate had occurred in the north, these artists would have been quick to talk about it.

“If something bad had happened in the north, they would have been talking about it. Not a single musician showed up in the north for this project. Not Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy, Samini”, she said in an interview with Joy Prime.

She, however, commended Kwabena Kwabena, who visited Tamale and came to the venue to support her.

She aLao indicated that she loves their music and will continue to support them regardless.

“I can sing their songs, and I have been doing videos for them on social media, so they owe us an apology.”

With an impressive total of 227 hours logged, Faila has easily surpassed the current record set by Irish chef Alan Fisher (119 hours and 57 minutes). However, the official confirmation from Guinness World Records is still pending.

Driven by her unwavering determination and culinary expertise, she persevered and extended the marathon until January 10th.

Throughout this challenging endeavor, she captivated patrons with a delightful selection of local and international dishes, earning widespread admiration.

The city of Tamale, the capital of the Northern Region, became a vibrant center of support for Chef Failatu.

Dignitaries, celebrities, and influential figures from across Ghana rallied behind her, creating an atmosphere of excitement and encouragement.

Notable attendees included Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam (Minister of State at the Finance Ministry), Madam Akosua Frema Osei Opare (Chief of Staff), former First Lady Lordina Mahama, and former Minority Leader Haruna Iddrisu.
