Erik Prince, the former Navy SEAL and founder of the infamous mercenary firm Blackwater, has stirred controversy yet again with his recent remarks calling for the re-colonization of Africa and Latin America.
In a podcast episode of “Off Leash,” Prince proposed that the United States should don the “imperial hat” once more and directly govern nations deemed incapable of self-governance.

Prince’s shocking statement came during a conversation with his co-host, Mark Serrano, where he asserted that many countries worldwide lack the ability to govern themselves effectively.
He suggested that it’s time for the U.S. to step in and take control of these nations to prevent further instability and invasion.
“If so many of these countries around the world are incapable of governing themselves, it’s time for us to just put the imperial hat back on,” he justified.
He specifically highlighted Africa, stating that the continent, as a whole, struggles with self-governance.

Prince’s proposal was met with skepticism from Serrano, who warned of potential backlash, especially from the political left. However, Prince remained firm in his stance, advocating for the U.S. to take a colonialist approach to governance once more.
The idea of re-colonization has sparked outrage and condemnation, with critics pointing to the devastating consequences of historical imperialism, including mass deaths and the rise of ideologies like Nazism.
