Delay Recommends Kwesi Arthur To American Rapper Meek Mill
Deloris Frimpong Manso, also known as Delay, has recommended Kwesi Arthur to Meek Mill, hours after he took to Twitter to inquire from his fans in Ghana and Nigeria about which artist they believe would be a perfect fit for a collaborative project.
Tru News News earlier revealed that Mill has expressed his admiration for African artistes, particularly those from Ghana and Nigeria and reached out to his African fans, seeking recommendations for a talented musician from these countries to collaborate with on an upcoming joint project.
Engaging directly with his fans, Meek Mill urged them to share the names of artistes they believe would be a perfect fit for an album alongside him. Encouraging active participation, he requested that his fans leave their preferred candidates in the comment section of his post.
Furthermore, Meek Mill emphasized that if he managed to find a skilled producer from Africa, he would be able to deliver his verse within a mere two weeks. This dedication to the project reflects his commitment to completing it in the shortest possible time.
The intended target of his post elicited diverse reactions, capturing the interest of Delay as well.
Swiftly, the producer and director of the now-defunct Afia Schwarzenneger associated Kwesi Arhtur’s name, asserting to Meek Mill that he is the prime choice among Ghana’s pool of skilled rappers.
In 2023, Omelly, the brother of Meek Mill, officially announced that his brother will be teaming up with Ghanaian rapper Kwesi Arthur to create a new song.
On December 30, 2022, Meek Mill took to his Twitter platform to express his desire to sign at least one artist to his Dream Chasers record label.
As soon as this announcement was made, dancehall artist Shatta Wale reached out to Meek Mill, suggesting that he collaborate with three talented Ghanaian artists.
Shatta Wale nominated renowned Ghanaian rappers Medikal, Kwesi Arthur, and Sarkodie for this exciting opportunity.
In response, Meek Mill accentuated, ”I will do 3 songs with them in one day …let’s find that Afro trap bear we can all walk onnnn”.
However, augmenting Meek’s proclamation, his brother has revealed that Kwesi Arthur will do a song with the ‘Dreams and Nightmares‘ singer.
“Kwesi Arthur has been chosen to meet Meek soon for his Returns… So anyone around that guy should let him be aware,” Omelly said.
