Duchess Sophie Wore An Elegant White Gown With Magnificent Headpiece For Trooping The Colour 2023

The Duchess Sophie looked stunning at the 2023 Trooping the Colour celebrations. Princess Anne’s husband, Sir Timothy Laurence, and the Duchess of Sophie, looked stunning in the first carriage of the ceremony.

Prince Edward, the Duchess’s husband, made history by accompanying King Charles on horseback, although the Duchess’s children, Lady Louise Windsor, 19, and James, Earl of Wessex, 15, were not present for the festivities.

The Duchess of Edinburgh wowed everyone in a tight-fitting white dress with a modest neckline and the cutest ruffled tulle sleeves.

A dramatic cream headgear with flower decoration and a twisted brim completed the elegant outfit. Duchess Sophie looked really stunning with her simple jewellery (drop pearl earrings and a silver necklace) and no makeup. Her hair was pulled into a fashionable updo, which let her statement hat shine.

The Royal Family, including Queen Camilla and the Princess of Wales, and William and Kate’s three children (George, 9, Charlotte, 8, and Louis, 5), were also in attendance.

The Royal Air Force will perform a magnificent fly-past after the stunning parade makes its way from Buckingham Palace down The Mall to Horse Guards Parade.

What is Trooping the Colour?

The Trooping of the Colour has marked the official birthday of the British Sovereign for over 260 years. Over 1400 parading soldiers, 200 horses and 400 musicians come together each June in a great display of military precision, horsemanship and fanfare to mark the Sovereign’s official birthday.

On Saturday, June 17th, the nation celebrated King Charles’s first birthday parade as monarch. For the first time since Queen Elizabeth II did it in 1986, the reigning monarch will be riding a horse during Trooping the Colour.

As Colonel in Chief of the seven regiments that make up the Household Division, Charles will accept the salute on Horse Guards Parade. After the parade, the King and his family will gather on the balcony of Buckingham Palace to view the flypast.
