Ghanaian Makeup Artist Attempts Guinness World Record for Most Lipstick Applications in 30 Seconds

Dela Gomey, a skilled Ghanaian nurse and makeup artist, has made an attempt for the Guinness World Record for the most lipstick applications in 30 seconds.

The groundbreaking attempt unfolded on January 6, 2024, at the Efa Guest House in Dodowa, Greater Accra Region.

During the event, Dela showcased his makeup prowess by expertly applying lipstick to eight models within the given half-minute timeframe.

Surpassing his initial goal of seven models, Gomey doubled the existing record set by Chinese makeup artist Li Jiaqi in 2018, who had accomplished four applications.

Reflecting on his achievement in an interview with graphic.com.gh, Dela Gomey expressed satisfaction with his effort, despite having a twinge of regret for not including more models.
