Ghana’s Economy: People Need To Be Shot – Reggie Rockstone
Hiplife pioneer, Reggie Rockstone has proposed a bold strategy to combat the declining prosperity of our nation.
The rapper believes that the economic challenges plaguing Africa stems from neocolonialism and imperialism, necessitating a more practical approach to rectify the situation.
Reggie advocates for holding accountable those individuals who have contributed to the economic turmoil while leading lavish lifestyles at the expense of the people.
He suggests that such people should face severe consequences, including being shot and killed. Furthermore, Reggie emphasizes that this issue should transcend partisan politics, as all politicians who have financially drained the country must be held responsible for their actions.
“Africa on the whole is moving sideways, Ghana is not doing too good, and I don’t want to hear no NPP and NDC.
“What would I change? Everything! They need to lock some people up. You could begin with that; that’s a deterrent. That’s the only way, black people; that’s how we rock. Especially we Africans, You’ve got to show them. Lock some folks up; some people have got to be shot.
“In saying this, it might sound too drastic to you but do you realise how many people poverty kills? And you’ve got folks out here living the life; folks out here living lavishly.
“Listen when somebody dies because they cannot afford hospital treatment that’s murder,” he stated during a recent appearance on the Unkut Show hosted by rapper D-Black.
Meanwhile, according to a recent online poll conducted by Global Analytics Info in preparation for the 2024 general elections, it has been revealed that a significant number of Ghanaians have placed their trust in John Dramani Mahama of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to address Ghana’s struggling economy.
The poll, which took place on February 5, also provided insights into the level of confidence Ghanaians have in Mahama’s ability to deliver.
On the other hand, supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) appear to be divided between Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and Alan Kwadwo Kyeremanten.
When voters were asked about the individual they believe can effectively tackle the country’s biggest challenge, the economy, 54% expressed their faith in John Dramani Mahama.
Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia received 26% of the votes, Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen received 8%, and 12% chose someone else.
