God Forbid – Richard Ahiagbah Prays Against NPP Going Into Opposition

The New Patriotic Party’s Communications Director, Richard Ahiagbah has refused to accept the possibility of the party going into opposition.

Richard Ahiagbah is of the view that the party holds the key to the development of the country and that the thought of Ghanaians swapping the NPP for the NDC is something he does not want to entertain. He stated that the development strategy for the country under the National Democratic Congress (NDC) remains unclear, unlike when the NPP was in opposition.

Richard Ahiagbah argues that it serves no purpose to condemn the current national development policies without providing other solutions that could actually improve the lives of Ghanaians.

During a media event held in Ho on Monday, August 21, Mr. Ahiagbah reaffirmed that the NPP has not mismanaged the economy. He emphasized that the government led by Akufo-Addo is actively working towards stabilising the economy in response to a worldwide economic deceleration.

The Communication Director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) raised concerns over the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in their assessment of economic management, saying that the NDC is just desperate to regain power.

“We still do not know the NDC’s development plans for the country if they return to power. God forbid, but when the NPP was in opposition, Ghanaians knew of the Free SHS policy they would enjoy under the NPP,” Mr. Ahiagbah said.

Mr. Ahiagbah noted that the NPP made their Free SHS programme known to Ghanaians when they were in opposition.

He asked the media to report on economic discussions from all angles and avoid taking sides. “So, your work must be independently vetted,” he added.
