I Almost Took My Life Over Social Media Lies- Fella Makafui
Fella Makafui has shared on Hitz FM about a challenging experience she faced due to false information spread about her on social media.
The former YOLO actress mentioned that this incident took place in 2019. She emphasized that she has chosen not to allow online stories to affect her, as they do not reflect her true self and cannot shape her identity in any manner.
“So far as you don’t say it that much, it stays where it is. The bad word travels more than the truth. In 2019, I was having a meeting with my manager, and he told me about something that was happening on social media and I almost took my life.”
“If I tell you today that I don’t come out publicly, that’s it. The trolling effect had to be debunked, I don’t say so much to prove a point. If we are talking about people who get bullied, I am one of them. The moment I say it, it’s gone, so I don’t want to mention it.”
Fella Makafui thanked God for giving her the grace to endure these difficulties.
“I just believe that God blesses us through our hearts. We shouldn’t hate and envy, I move with these three things. I think God is probably blessing me. I don’t think I go to church like that, I think we should do well.”
Fella Makafui made the above comment in reaction to the recent viral video showing him smoking with rapper D-Black.
On D Black passing her cigar, she indicated “Let’s not disrespect D Black and his family. D Black is my big brother so let’s not disrespect him. I went there with my friends to chill”.
