I Bought My Santos de Cartier Watch For $8000 – Fella Makafui
Fella Makafui appeared as a guest on Berla Mundi’s show on New Day on TV3 to discuss her latest movie, Resonance.
During the interview, the actress and filmmaker shared the extent of sacrifices she had to make to secure the necessary budget for the film production.
Fella mentioned that she refrained from purchasing certain luxury items to ensure the success of the movie project.
Despite this, she proudly showcased her Santos de Cartier watch, revealing that it was valued at $8000, which is approximately GH¢110,800.00 based on the exchange rate at the time of this article’s publication.
Interestingly, Fella acquired the exquisite accessory in March this year and even shared a photo of it on social media with a caption that caught the attention of her fans, writing, “ain’t nothing wrong in spoiling yourself” as she unboxed the Cartier watch in a video posted online.
According to the official website of the Cartier watch, the Santos watch was conceived by Louis Cartier in 1904 to help aviators tell time mid-flight.
Since then, this pioneering wristwatch has become an icon, defined by its geometric dial, harmoniously curved horns and signature exposed screws.
The website also states that Cartier watches can range from $2,500 to $250,000!
Of course, these price ranges will depend on several factors, including the model, the source of the watch, and more.
