I Charge ₵47 Cedis – Sarkodie Tells Fan Who Asked How Much He Charges For Corporate Shows

Sarkodie was probably not in a good mood when a fan emerged under his post to ask him how much he charges for corporate shows.

This was after the revered rapper, who recently dropped ‘Landlord’, a diss song aimed at Nasty C, shared a video and photos of him performing at the Royal Gala in the DE ICON in East Legon.

As the post continued to draw much attention fraught with varied comments, one fan asked Sarkodie how much he pockets for high-profile events of that nature.

Responding, he said he takes only ₵47 but if the guy is kind enough, he can make it ₵50 for him- the sarcasm of which has sent the internet into a meltdown. Here’s what he said;

47 ghc if you love me you can round it up and make it 50 ghana

Not too long ago, Sarkodie urged Ghanaian artists to make it a habit to share their creative works on social media regardless of the audience they have.

According to him, they shouldn’t worry about how many people will respond to their posts in the meantime and keep pushing because someone who will turn things around for them might be watching.

The revered rapper said instead of waiting for the numbers, he believes that consistency will elevate artists to the peak of their game.

He reminded them that the world is a global village where Ghana currently finds herself, and it will be imperative that artists make a conscious effort at putting themselves out there.

Making this point known in a tweet, he said, “To all creatives, never stop putting out your art. Even with little eyeballs trust me it’s not going to waste. One art will come to make it up for everything.”
