I Don’t Miss Castro – Mzbel

Mzbel and Castro collaborated on multiple projects, including the smash single “16 Years.” In addition to their musical talents, they were described as the best “music couple” in the nation at the time.

In a couple of interviews, Mzbel revealed that Castro was one of her many mentors. Mzbel was asked if Castro’s disappearance had affected her, but she responded, “I don’t miss him.”

She claims that their friendship was rocky and that there were many misunderstandings between them before he disappeared. “Before the incident, we were no more friends. We had a lot of misunderstandings, so we stopped being friends.

“But once in a while, when I go to the studio, I remember some of the things he taught me. But for me to miss him, there is nothing like that. There was no romantic relationship,” Mzbel said in an interview broadcast on Kingdom FM.

On July 6, 2014, it was reported that Ghanaian musician Castro, born Theophilus Tagoe, and Miss Janet Bandu drowned in the Ada Estuary while on vacation. Police found the damaged jet ski on the day of their disappearance, but there was no sign of the missing people or their remains.
