If We Send Nigerian Men To Ghana, Their Men Won’t Get Women To Marry – Hilda Baci
Hilda Baci appears to be striving to maintain her relevance this week, following the loss of her Guinness World Record to Alan Fisher from Ireland.
She has chosen to do so by making controversial statements about Ghana. During a recent podcast, the renowned chef made a highly contentious claim, suggesting that Ghanaian women, deep down, prefer to settle with Nigerian men rather than their fellow Ghanaians.
According to her, if multiple Nigerian women were to enter Ghana at this moment, Ghanaian men would struggle to find women to marry.
However, Hilda failed to provide any empirical evidence to support her remarks. Despite this, she confidently displayed a typical superiority complex associated with Nigerians by asserting that Ghanaian men cannot compete with Nigerians for the affection of Ghanaian women.
“Ask 20 Ghanaian women if they will marry Ghanaian men. Put Nigerian men and Ghanaian men side by side and see who they will pick. Ghanaian women marry Ghanaians because that is at their forefront. When we send some Nigerian men to Ghana, the men over there won’t get wives,” she blatantly stated during a discussion with some UK Ghanaian men.
Ghanaian tweeps have strongly criticized her remarks, leading to a significant backlash. They argue that the majority of Nigerian men in Ghana are not considered desirable partners, contrary to what she has suggested. Some netizens even claim that Ghanaian women find Nigerian men unappealing and often see them working in low-paying jobs, like selling phone covers and similar occupations.
On the same platform, she shared her opinion on the ongoing debate about who makes the best Jollof rice between Ghana and Nigeria.
The renowned Nigerian celebrity chef firmly declared her country’s Jollof as the ultimate winner while expressing her disappointment with Ghana’s version, claiming it lacks flavour.
During a podcast interview, Hilda Baci confidently stated that she has personally sampled Ghana’s Jollof and can attest that it does not match the excellence of Nigerian Jollof.
