I’ll Die This Year – Oboy Siki Reminds Ghanaians

Oboy Siki, in a manner reminiscent of a prophet nearing the end of his journey, has reiterated his belief that this year will mark his departure from this world.

He urged Ghanaians not to shed tears when that time comes, as he has accomplished much in his lifetime. Particularly, he highlighted the decline of Kumawood and the lack of opportunities in recent times as the reasons he wants to die this year.

Recall that in an interview with Kofi TV in 2022, the Kumawood actor shared his observations about the struggles faced by fellow actors who are unable to sustain themselves. This realization, according to him, made him ask God to take away his life in 2024 so he wouldn’t encounter the same fate in his life.

The Kumawood actor and former bandsman expressed his concern that if he were to pass away without prior knowledge, pastors and Ghanaians might wrongly attribute it to curses or foul play. He firmly believes that only God has the authority to determine the duration of one’s life.

As we find ourselves in the second month of 2024, Oboy Siki once again affirmed his conviction that he will depart from this world within this year. During an appearance on Kingdom FM, he explicitly stated that Ghanaians should prepare themselves for the news of his passing.

When asked about his reasons for wanting to die this year, Oboy Siki explained that old age brings about numerous complications. Therefore, he desires to depart while he is still in good health.

“When I began to speak negatively about the movie industry, I witnessed about 20 people who couldn’t make a decent living from it. So, I beg God to grant me the age at which I should die. In a dream, I received confirmation from God that He had agreed to my request. Thus, the thought of death has been looming over me,” he said.
