Oboy Siki Takes On ‘Liar’ Akrobeto Over His Houses
Oboy Siki has revealed in a fresh interview that his friend and industry colleague Akrobeto lied when he said his mansions were funded by proceeds from his acting career.
A typical Siki who seems to have “vawulence” as his middle name, went beserk by casting a slur at Agya Koo when he unveiled his huge mansion not too long ago. He also alleged that the house was funded by a huge paycheque he received for his association with the New Patriotic Party (NPP) which he campaigned for vigorously.
Agya was sidelined in the movie industry, so things weren’t going well for him, so in 2016, he went to do an endorsement for NPP, and that is where he got enough money. So, I want to explain to Ghanaians that, for us, the movie actors, if we can build, our money cannot build a proper house. So, all those who have built in Accra with these big mansions are not funds from the movie industry, so if anybody says so, that is a very big lie. The NPP money helped Agya to fund his building …with my knowledge and the things I know, that money was used for the building.
However Akrobeto, who also doubles as a TV personality known for anchoring the satiric Real News programme on UTV, recently slammed Oboy Siki for speaking ill about Agya Koo in relation to his newly unveiled mansion.
In response to these allegations made by Oboy Siki, Akrobeto refuted claims on the premise that no movie star can erect a state-of-the-art mansion. Akrobeto claimed in an interview that he has built two large residences for himself using the money he has earned from performing.
Disappointed Akrobeto commented angrily that other actors and actresses wouldn’t suffer the same fate as him if Oboy Siki hadn’t been able to buy any pricey and deserving property in his name during his peak.
In this new development, Oboy Siki said if not for the fact that Akrobeto is one of his few friends in the movie industry, he would have revealed some dirty secrets about him. Ultimately he called him a liar and mentioned that he has two houses which were not funded by his acting career.
