It’s Official: Mary J. Blige Will Be Performing At The 2023 Grammys

When it comes to the Grammys, it’s the performances that really set the tone for the evening, and the first wave of performers for this year’s ceremony has finally been revealed! American singer, songwriter, and actress Mary J. Blige is set to perform.

Performers at this year’s 65th Annual Grammy Awards include nine-time Grammy winner Mary J. Blige, who is nominated for six awards including Record of the Year, Album of the Year, and Best R&B Performance; Bad Bunny, who is looking to add three gramophones to his two win-count, including Best Pop Solo Performance and Best Msica Urbana Album; six-time Grammy winner Brandi Carlile, who is nominated for seven awards.

Other nominees who will be performing on Sunday night include Luke Combs and Steve Lacy, as well as first-time nominee Kim Petras and four-time winner Sam Smith. Their incredibly popular single “Unholy” earned them a nomination for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.

Trevor Noah, a former anchor of The Daily Show, will serve as host of the GRAMMY Awards for the third year in a row. Having the opportunity to preside over music’s greatest night is a “cheat code,” In an interview with Billboard, Noah said, “since I’m a fan of almost all the musicians that are there.”

According to Noah, one of the most exciting aspects of performing is the freedom to improvise and interact with the audience, as long as it is done “in service of the performance.”
