Jennifer Lopez Reveals Release Date for New Album And Short Film ‘This Is Me… Now’
Jennifer Lopez has announced a new short film titled “This Is Me… Now: A Love Story,“ which has been acquired by Amazon MGM Studios, to be released alongside her complete album “This Is Me…Now” on February 16, 2024.
The film, directed by Dave Meyers, is described as “a narrative-driven, intimate, reflective, sexy, funny, fantastical, and highly entertaining musical and visual reimagining of her publicly scrutinised love life.”
“This Is Me… Now,” is Lopez’s first studio album in nearly a decade and celebrates the anniversary of its sister album, “This is Me… Then.”
The album was recorded between 2022 and 2023 and written and executive produced by Lopez and Rogét Chayed, along with Angel Lopez, Jeff “Gitty” Gitelman, HitBoy, Tay Keith, and INK, among others.
“This Is Me… Now” makes references to Jennifer Lopez’s relationship with actor Ben Affleck. The tracklist, unveiled in November 2022, includes titles like “Dear Ben Pt. II,” suggesting a sequel to the earlier album’s “Dear Ben.”
The teaser for the film features a mix of personal moments, performances, and sci-fi fantasy elements. “This Is Me… Now: A Love Story” is expected to be a musical experience that showcases Lopez’s talent as a singer and songwriter.
