John Dumelo Receives Certificate Of Recognition From University of Ghana For Paying Fees For Needy Students Over The Years

Ghanaian actor cum politician, John Dumelo, has been acknowledged by the University of Ghana, Legon, for his contributions over the years in paying the fees of needy students to enable them continue their education at the premier university.

The actor and agriculturist shared this information on his Facebook page on Friday, January 27, 2023.

He posted;

I received this appreciation certificate from the Vice Chancellor of the University of Ghana today. It is to show appreciation for my continuous support over the years for donating financially to the school to enable students pay their fees. I am very grateful.

Dumelo was in the news recently when he evoked nostalgic moments on Twitter after he shared photos extracted from his first-ever movie dubbed ‘Baby Thief’ when he was just 6 years old.

The famous actor and farmer described the areas where the movie was shot, suggesting that 33 years after he acted in the film, he still has a fresh memory of the locations where the movie was shot.

He mentioned Afienya, Koforidua, and Kanda in the post which has received massive reactions from other tweeps. John Dumelo posted;

“My first film. Baby thief. Was filmed in 1990. I still remember the locations. Afienya, koforidua, Kanda etc.”
