Kanye West Is Reportedly Returning to Adidas

Kanye West and Adidas broke up in the second half of 2022, in a highly publicized split. Overall, it is not difficult to understand why Adidas wanted to drop Ye. Kanye was technically the one who initiated the breakup.

West was in the midst of his anti-Semitic rants, in which he praised figures such as Adolf Hitler. Adidas did not accept this, and they ultimately decided to terminate the contract. This fuelled speculation that Adidas owned the Yeezy catalog and could do whatever they wanted with it. 

Unfortunately, this left Adidas with unsold Yeezys worth $520 million. Adidas can still sell Yeezy clothes without the Yeezy logo, but the $520 million in stock in question still had Ye’s logos on them. So, the brand was left with the stock, and it was said that the company would lose more than $1 billion in sales this year. As a result, Adidas has been scrambling to recover its previous investment. As a result, some intriguing rumours have spread on social media. 

Adidas and Kanye are back together, according to the tweets below and numerous others on Twitter right now. But it’s important to remember that neither Adidas nor Kanye West have actually said anything like this. However, Complex’s Brendan Dunne has been informed by multiple sources that a deal is in the works. 

Currently, it appears that this rumoured agreement is only temporary. This deal would simply indicate that Ye is allowing Adidas to liquidate its remaining Yeezy inventory. This would ultimately include a substantial royalty for Kanye, who would be doing Adidas a tremendous favour here.

As previously stated, this is merely a rumour that is gaining momentum. Undoubtedly, a reunion between the two would break the internet regardless. In addition, the remaining stock would sell out immediately.
